Welcome to Highland Elementary School!

Located in the western slope of Colorado, Highland Elementary is a Pre-K through 5th-grade school in Rifle, CO. We have over 500 future leaders that we get the privilege of working with every day. 

As Highland Educators, we are committed to the school's goals:

1. HES will work together to live our Vision of staying positive, being mindful, & meeting high expectations by supporting our Future Leaders’ social, emotional, & academic needs every day.

2. HES will work together to support our Garfield RE-2 goals.

3. HES/ RE-2 will develop a guaranteed & viable curriculum using the teaching and learning cycle (WHHW).

4. HES will increase ELA achievement by focusing on curriculum & instructional best practices.

5. HES will increase Math growth & achievement by focusing on curriculum & instructional best practices.
